Client Leader - Geotechnical

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
 
The successful candidate will:
 
Business Development:
 
  •  Personally engage in developing and executing strategic geotechnical and integrated geotechnical and environmental consulting work with identified existing and target clients totaling at least $750,000 in net revenue annually. 
  • The successful candidate will have established relationships with developers, higher education, healthcare, and other private clients. 
  • Actively participate in at least one organization that is focused on the market area and/or issues faced by our clients. 
 
Project Delivery:
 
  • Execute and oversee geotechnical and integrated geotechnical and environmental consulting projects, acting as the main client contact for work attained.
  • Oversee the safe execution of all phases of a project to meet the client’s objectives as well as company goals for revenue generation and profitability.
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence in the services required by the client.
  • Develop annual client plans, estimate client revenue and profits to support strategy deployment, and lead pursuits with project team members.
  • In cooperation with other offices and senior management, develop and implement business strategies to meet stated business metric goals in NYC market. 
 
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
 
  • More than 12 years of experience in strategic geotechnical and integrated geotechnical and environmental consulting in NYC market. 
  • Demonstrated track record of selling $750,000 or more in annual net revenues for geotechnical and integrated geotechnical and environmental consulting work.
  • Strong track record of developing and maintaining client relationships, particularly in the private sector.
  • Proven experience with New York City Building Code, and regulatory agencies including New York City Department of Buildings, New York City Transit, and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.  Experience with New York State, New Jersey, and other pertinent Building Codes a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with New York City Office of Environmental Remediation, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation either direct or through integrated geotechnical and environmental project teams
  • Experience in designing and executing subsurface investigation programs, geotechnical design (including shallow and deep foundations, support of excavation systems, site-specific seismic design, ground improvement, etc.), and integrated geotechnical and environmental design for major projects.
  • Proven leadership skills that can be leveraged in support of achieving business growth and service delivery goals, including a track record of recruiting and mentoring staff at all levels.  
  • Ability to work successfully in a single (one company) profit center, team-oriented and collaborative environment with shared resources, both within the NYC area and across the company.
  • BS and MS degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering. 
  • Professional Engineering (PE) registration in New York required, and desired in New Jersey.
  • Periodic travel required.
