CNC Machine Operator

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED (from any country)
  • 3-5 years of CNC milling setup and operation experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred

  • Experience operating and setting up Doosan (DN Solutions), Haas, Brother, or similar CNC machining centers.
  • Experience with multi-axis machining.
  • Understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming.
  • Experience with fixture setup, workholding, and process optimization.
  • Experience using Renishaw probing systems for part setup, work offsets, tool measurement, and in-process inspection is a plus.
  • SolidWorks and/or CAMWorks experience preferred.
  • Firearms manufacturing experience is a plus


What You'll be Doing:

CNC Mill OperationSetup

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision firearm components.
  • Load and verify programs, tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
  • Perform complete setups of proven production jobs with minimal supervision.
  • Monitor machine performance and make tool wear and geometry offsets as needed.
  • Maintain production schedules while ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Perform tool changes and verify machine readiness before production runs.

QualityInspection

  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, thread gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Identify and correct quality issues before they impact production.
  • Ensure all parts meet company and customer specifications.

TroubleshootingProcess Improvement

  • Diagnose machining issues involving tooling, fixturing, materials, machine performance, and programs.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements that reduce cycle times, scrap, and rework.
  • Communicate opportunities for continuous improvement within the machining process.

Shop Support

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Replace worn or damaged tooling and maintain tool inventories.
  • Assist with routine machine maintenance and upkeep.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
