Client Technical Advisor - Geotechnical

You would be working with technical focus on geotechnical investigations and engineering for Energy-sector clients, to work in a technical and business development role with other highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is a full-time position located in New England region offices.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Focus on delivering geotechnical services to Energy sector clients (primarily power delivery and renewables). You will play a key role in developing and growing portfolio of geotechnical engineering and other consulting services in the Energy sector.
  • Actively develop commercial strategies and programs to pursue and win new business opportunities that result in significant revenue growth with new and existing clients.
  • Lead proposal efforts to capture and deliver new business.
  • Contribute to the leadership and management of project execution activities in support of our clients’ major capital projects.
  • Lead consulting engagements in geotechnical engineering and consulting services.
  • Build, grow, and manage a high-performance geotechnical team, serving as a leader and mentor. Identify emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential; ensure rising stars are mentored, trained, developed, and given new areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain authorized contracts, prepare Project Management Plans (PMPs), and manage contract changes in accordance with Quality Management Standards (QMS).
Skills and Experience
  • B.S. degree in geotechnical engineering or another related discipline.
  • M.S. degree strongly preferred.
  • 8 or more years serving as a trusted advisor for geotechnical engineering services to electric utility and/or renewable energy clients in the mid-Atlantic and New England regions.
  • A history of delivering significant net revenue of geotechnical services to one of more of these clients on an average annual basis.
  • Demonstrated the ability to strategically develop client accounts to provide a broad range of consulting services.
  • Understanding and knowledge of the local markets and the companies operating within them, including existing relationships that can be leveraged into new business.
  • World-class consulting and business acumen to understand and identify client challenges.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
