The Maintenance Technician assists with ensuring the successful operations of all machinery in the plant through inspecting, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance work. This position also assists other Supervisors and personnel, as necessary, to assure that employees are using equipment properly. The Maintenance Technician is instrumental in recommending improvements of
facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. This
position answers operator questions and provides information relating to projects
including resolving problems, handling complaints and providing technical expertise with the operation of machinery.
Capable of using hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
Familiar with safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities.
Knowledge of company and departmental organizational structure, policies,
procedures, rules, and regulations.
Skills to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and concisely and be able to coordinate effectively with management, supervisors, and employees.
Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
